Daleville...Jane Elizabeth Kendall, 81, resident of the Daleville area, died early this morning at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after an extended illness.She was born in Sulphur Springs, Indiana, May 30, 1921, the daughter of Gus and Ruth Hodson Hale.She moved to the Daleville area in 1996 and had been a homemaker most of her life. She attended Corinth United Methodist Church and was actively involved in the Messick United Brethren Church in Messick, Indiana. She had been involved in several ladies aides of area church.She was preceded in death by her parents as well as 2 children: Janet Morris and Kenneth Bruce Kendall, 3 grandchildren: Julie Morris, JoEllen Morris and Jason Geiling, brothers and sisters: Byron Hale, Alfred Hale, Virginia Lewis, and Mary Hammond.Survivors include: Her husband of 62 years: Walter Kendall of Daleville, 1 son: Stephen Kendall (Barbara) of Memphis, TN, 2 Daughters: Judith Geiling of Anderson and Naomi McLaren (Robert) of Daleville, 1 brother: George Hale (Jane) of Mooreland, Grandchildren: Andrew Geiling (Fiance; Amanda) of Greenfield, Matthew Geiling (Brenda) of Muncie, Clinton and Kristin Kendall of Memphis, Daniel Kern of Muncie and David Kern of Daleville, Great Grandchildren: Javyn Geiling of Greenfield, Emma, Mera, and Jamie Geiling of Muncie, Step Grandchildern: Doug McLaren (Kerry) of Muncie, Jill Boyce (Mark) of Carmel and Sara Smith (Mike) of Fishers, Step Great Grandchildren: Christina, Jessica, and Rachael Boyce of Carmel, Abby and Noah Smith of Fishers, and Emily and Matthew McLaren of Muncie, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut Street, Daleville, with Rev. George Hale and Rev. David Whitteberry officiating.Burial will follow in Mooreland Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-8 PM and one hour before the services on Tuesday.Memorials may be made to the American Alzheimer Association through the funeral home.Online Guestbook available at: www.ballardandsons.com
