Anderson....Jane (Poor) Eakes, 77, resident of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis Thursday morning.She was born in Anderson, January 31, 1935, the son of Clyde Harold and Gladys Ballard Poor.She was a graduate of Anderson High School and worked for over forty years as an abstractor with Rowland Title Company.She was a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church and was preceeded in death by her parents and her husband: Floyd V. Eakes in 2011.Survivors are two sons: Jon G. Eakes (Madalin) of Indianapolis and Stephen J. Eakes (Mellea) of Fishers, 1 sister: Sara Lou Michael (Charles) of Anderson, grandchildren: Austin Jay, Ashley Anne and Andrew Ryan Eakes, Great grandchild: Aiden Jay Eakes, and Nieces: Karrie Lynn Michael and Darcie Michael Chiapetta, nephews: Michael, Gary, Dennis, Richard, and Kevin Eakes, brother in law: William Carl Eakes (Clarice).Funeral services will be held on Monday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown at 11:00 am with Rev. Maynard Powell and Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.Friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Sixth Street Christian Church.Online Guestbook at:
