Anderson...James Lee Zirkle, 66, resident of Anderson, was called to be an angel of God on Wednesday morning. He has gone to be with his eldest son, Jim Zirkle, Jr.He was born in Middletown on March 3, 1939 the son of Carl R. and Lena M. Zirkle.He was a graduate of Middletown High School.He retired from Delco Remy in 1994 after 38 years of service as a machine operator.He was US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.He was a member of the UAW 662 and the Church of Christ in Anderson.He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 38 short but wonderful years: Tena Sue (Nantroup) Zirkle of Anderson, his two daughters: Diana (Charles) Watkins and Sheba (Henry) Batin of Anderson, 3 sons; Frank (Dolly) Zirkle, Michael Zirkle, and Ray Gene Zirkle, all of Anderson, Grandchildren: Tonya (Nathan) Elliott, billie Zirkle, Alisha Powless, Kaila Batin, Breeanna Zirkle, Kimmie Zirkle, Mikey Zirkle, Braiden Zirkle, and Colin Batin, great grandchildren: Tyler and Natalie Elliott and seven additional grandchildren and six great grandchildren reside in San Antonio, Texas. Also surviving is a brother: Robert (Madonna) Zirkle of Middletown.We love you Daddy and Papa Z!Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Garry Coleman officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from Noon until the time of the services.Online Guestbook is available at:
