Anderson....James A. Stinson, 85, resident of the Anderson area, died Thursday evening at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson, after an extended illness.He was born April 8, 1917 in Anderson, the son of A. Hutch and Hallie Cunningham Stinson. He was a 1935 graduate of Markleville High School and had been self employed in farming his entire life.He was Past Master of Ovid Masonic Lodge and had been a member for many years. He attended Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Ovid and was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau.Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Wilma Ruth of Anderson, 1 son: James F. (Berneice) Stinson of Daleville, grandchildren: Ronald (April) Stinson of Pendleton and April (Wallace) Anderson of Edwardsville, Illinois, 5 great grandchildren: Erica Stinson and Shelby Stinson of Pendleton, Megan, Gregory and Danielle Anderson of Edwardsville, IL, several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Sara Josephine Stinson and Gertrudada Elrod.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Marty Ballard officiating.Dove release services will follow at Mt.
