Carmel....James Oliver Stewart, 84, resident of Carmel and former longtime resident of Middletown, passed away in Carmel on April 14, 2016.He was born in Anderson, April 20, 1931 the son of Daniel and Leva Wilson Stewart.He was a 1949 graduate of Anderson High School and a veteran of the US Navy serving as a Seaman First Class.He retired from General Motors in Anderson (Delco Remy) where he had been a die setter.He lived in Middletown from 1955 until 2000 when he moved to CarmelHe was a member of the Middletown American Legion, Hoosier Beagle Club and held several offices in the club. He was a member of the Middletown Lions Club of which he held several offices, the Heartland Federation and the Anderson Square dance Club.He was preceded in death by his first wife: Edna, a son: David and a sister Imogene Stewart, 2 brothers: Robert Bullock and John Bullock and as sister: Imogene Stewart.He is survived by his wife: Marjorie (Borre) of Carmel, children: Gary Jay Stewart of Middletown, Curt Stewart (Tammy) of Middletown, and Stacy Skillman (Dave) of Anderson, Ron Borre (Lori) of Jamestown, and Victoria Cloonan (Kevin) of Farmington Hills, MI, Brothers: Joe Bullock of Ohio and Donald Taylor of Ohio, grandchildren: Nicole Farmer, D.J. Brown, Jacob Stewart, James Stewart, Jenna Stewart, Jessica Darr, Brendan and Daniel Cloonan, William, Thomas, Joshua, Christopher, and Benjamin Borre, a great grandchild: Camden, several nieces and nephews and a dear friend: Rose Staton of Indianapolis, several nieces and nephews.A celebration of his life will be held on Monday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with pastors Philip C.
