James Mccleary Stelle

Middletown...James M. Stelle, 88, died August 18, 2006 at the Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown after an extended illness.He was born in Indianapolis on October 21, 1917, to Christopher B. and Alta McCleary Stelle. He retired in 1975 from Delco Remy as a Model Shop Supervisor and moved to Stuart, FL in 1986 and returned to Anderson in 2001.He served his country in WW 2 in the US Navy Seabees and was stationed in Guam.He is survived by a step son: Ted Richardson and Wife Karen of Ocala, FL, step daughter: Nancy Rice and husband Rex of Middletown, step daughter: Melanie Jones and husband Nurmi of and Anderson, niece: Linda Dilts of Belmont, MI, nephew: Ronnie Donnelly of Anderson, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years: Mary Maxine, sisters: Barbara Stelle, Helen Donnelly and Phebe Hess.He will be interned in Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.There will be no services.Services have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
