Middletown...James Duane Pottorff, 62, resident of the Mechanicsburg area, died unexpectedly at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson on Monday evening.He was born, March 2, 1944, the son of Robert P. and Anna Daymon Pottorff.He was a US Army veteran and a graduate of Markleville High School 1959 and Ball State university 1969.He retired from Delco Remy of General Motors in Anderson in 1994 after 32 years of service.He attended the Markleville North Christian Church and was a member of Local 662 UAW of Anderson. He was a member of the Central Indiana Old Car Club, the Indiana Corvette Club, the Hoosier Model T Club, the Indiana Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Frankton Snowmobile Club. He had been active in the Boys Scouts of America, 4-H, and Christian Youth Fellowship.Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Sharon T. Pottorff of Indianapolis, 1 son; James M. Pottorff of Middletown, 1 brother: Robert W. Pottorff and 1 sister: Ruth Ann Seal both of Markleville, a special friend: Judy O'bryant of Chesterfield, nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Markleville North Christian Church in Markleville with Rev.
