Anderson...James ""Scotty"" MacLachlan, 71, resident of Anderson, passed away with his wife and daughters at his side Monday afternoon at his residence.He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, August 15, 1941, the son of James and Ellen Beresford MacLachlan.He retired from General Motors Guide Division as a pipefitter in 1998 after 30 years of service.He moved from Scotland to the United States in 1968 and became a US citizen with his wife in 1976.He was a member of UAW 663, attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene, was a Mason in Scotland, and loved fishing with his Heritage Hill buddies.He was a member of Tri County Golf Club (Old Farts Golfing group) and enjoyed the Brookville Reservoir.He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Janette (Bain) of Anderson, 3 daughters: Elaine Nicoloudakis (Costas) of Snohomish, WA, Karen Spearman (Ted) of Fishers, and Sandra Bennett (Bob) of Fishers, grandchildren: Nickolas Nicoloudakis, Ethan and Eli Spearman, 1 brother: William (Daphne) MacLachlan and 1 sister: Rena Caddell of Kokomo, nieces and nephews.Celebration services will be held on Friday at 6:00 PM at Middletown Church of the Nazarene, 698 North 5th, Middletown with Dr. Philip C.
