James L. Lennen, Jr., 91, of Middletown, died peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2012, at St. Vincents Hospice in Indianapolis. An honored retiree of the U.S. Postal Service for 42 years, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran as well as a longtime member of the Sixth Street Christian Church. He was a devoted husband to his wife, June, of 71 years, and a loving father to his children, James L. Lennen III and Lisa Lennen; a grandfather to Jami Sumner, James L. Lennen IV, and Myles Bobenhausen, as well as five great grandchildren. Never idle, he will be remembered for his devotion to his family. He was an avid reader and music lover who touched the lives of many. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 16, at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Middletown Chapel, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., followed by a service ministered by Maynard Powell, and interment at Miller Cemetery.
