Sulphur Springs...James Kenneth Jones, 77, resident of Sulphur Springs, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.He was born in Lakeland , Florida, June 23, 1928, the son of Joseph H. and Lila Browne Jones.He has worked for nearly fifty years for the Marsh Supermarket Company and was a veteran of the US Navy.He was a member of the Sulphur Spring Masonic Lodge #348, the Eagles of New Castle, the Shriners of Indianapolis and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis. He was an inactive member of the Jefferson Township Fire Department where he had volunteered for many years.He was preceded in death by his wife: Vera, 6 brothers: earl, Bernice, Irain, Rudolph, Rolland, Joseph, and Bob Jones and 2 sisters: Louise Jones and Dorothy Beck.Survivors include 2 sons: Randy (Marcia) Jones of New Castle and Kip (Vickie) Jones of Sulphur Springs, 3 grandchildren: Jeremy of Madison, WI, Wesly of Sulphur Springs and Kindsey of Sulphur Springs, 1 great grandchild: Sydnie Paige Jones of Sulphur Springs, 3 sisters: Marian Sutherland of Tampa, Cynthia Jones and Shirley Shepherd (Del) of Lakeland, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. James Behrendt officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-8 PM with Masonic Memorial Services held at 8:00 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Vera Jones Scholarship Fund through Dollars for Scholars.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
