Middletown...James M. Hilligoss, Sr, 83, resident of Middletown, passed away Friday morning at his residence.He was born in Anderson, May 26, 1928, the son of Orville L. and Mary Louise Hudson Hilligoss.He retired in 1981 from General Motors Delco Remy working in the tool room for 18 years.He was a veteran of WW 2 serving in the US Army in Japan.He was a member of the UAW 662, Mechanicsburg Lodge F & AM and Sottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis.He was active in Ham Radio Weather Warning with the Middletown Emergency Services and loved fishing and hunting.Survivors are 3 sons: James Hilligoss, Jr., (Sharon) of Anderson, Larry Dean Hilligoss (Patsey) of Pendleton, and Steven Hilligoss ""Hoppy"", 3 daughters: Cindy Hamilton (Chuck) of Springport, Connie Boozier of Anderson, and Lori Hilligoss, 1 brother: Orville Hilligoss, Jr. of Alexandria.He was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Ella Lorretta Hilligoss in 2005.Services were held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
