Middletown...James ""Jim"" Ralph Halsell, 82, resident of Middletown, passed away at his residence after a brief illness.He was born in Jamestown, KY, August 24, 1927, the son of Walter and Dora Ford Halsell.He retired from Delco Remy after 41 years working in the foundry.He was a member of the Eagles of Alexandria and loved fishing, gardening, college basketball and being with family and friends.He is survived by 1 son: James E. Halsell (Fiance': Barbara Campbell) of Jamestown, KY and 1 daughter: Mary Ann Bigham (Tim) of Anderson, IN, 3 grandchildren: Tony Ledford (Angie Renfroe) of Anderson, Jimi Halsell (Kim) of Charleston, SC and Toby Ledford of Noblesville, 2 brothers: Wayne (Linda) of Jamestown, KY and Elmer (Barbara) of Louisville, 4 sisters: Ruth Nelson of Garfield, KY, Ruby Smith of Jamestown, KY, Anna Collins (Curtis) of Russell Springs, Ky and Betty Wilson of Louisville, and his former wife and special companion: Mary Halsell of New Castle.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William, Wilbur ""Cad"", Earl and sisters: Margaret and Mildred.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at HE Pruitt Funeral Home in Jamestown Kentucky with Rev.
