Anderson...James Leroy Forney, 80, resident of Anderson, died early Sunday morning at Rawlins House Convalecent Center in Pendleton, after an extended illness.He was born in Anderson, November 17, 1923, the son of Everett and Lilith Cox Forney.He retired from Guide Lamp Division of Genral Motors in Anderson in 1976 after 30 years of service.He was a WW 2 veteran of the US Army with the rank of Private First Class.He was a member of the Mt Moriah Masonic Lodge of Anderson.Sdurvivors include his wife of 50 years: Rena (James) of Anderson, 1 daughter: Jeri (Dennis) Bedortha, Washington State, 2 stepchildren: Sharon Taylor of Anderson and James (Madonna) Hasty of Anderson, 7 grandchildren: Shelly (Darrell) Bolser, Teri (Mark) Bordon, and Jamie (Chris) Johanson, all of Washington State, Starlyn (Les) Lazarus of Tennessee, Jennifer (Roger) Montoney, Anderson, Justin (Heather) Hasty of Anderson and Nathan (Jamie) Hasty of Southport, IN, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 3 brothers: Wilburn (Barbara) Forney of Wisconsin, Kenneth (Betty) Forney of Anderson, and Phillip Forney of Markleville, 5 sisters: Lula Mae (George) Godby of Pendleton, Bonnie Smith of Anderson, and Virginia Ann (William) Douglas of Kokomo, Frieda (Hayward) Mixon of South Carolina, and Carolyn (Richard) Lofter of Georgia, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister: Betty Young.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Willie Ledbetter officiating.Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.Friends may call on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with Mt.
