James David Edwards

James David Edwards, 78, of Anderson passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. He was born March 31,1945 in Anderson to the late George and Ruth (Cohen) Stephens.

Dave was a 1964 graduate of Middletown High School (Cossacks). He lived in the Middletown and Anderson area for a majority of his life. He worked more than 40 years at Delco Remy as a tool maker. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and daughter and took part in many cruises around the globe. He very much enjoyed watching Nascar and going to races with his sons and brothers. He attended the Chesterfield Community Christian Church.

Dave is survived by one daughter, Theresa (Gregg) Huberty; 2 sons, Mark (Paula) Edwards and James Michael (Jennifer) Edwards; brother, Larry Stephens; a special sister, Pam Gouker; 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sandy Helsley Edwards; sister, Peggy; 3 brothers, George, Butch, and Ronnie; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home at 118 South 5th, Middletown, IN with Pastor Dan Alexander officiating. There will be 1 hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Middletown. Friends may call on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6-8 PM.
