James Ira Day

Anderson...James Ira Day, 69, resident of Anderson, passed away February 10, 2007 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after a brief illness.He was born December 9, 1937 in Delphi, IN the son of Donald and Alberta Leslie Day.He retired from Guide Corporation in 1985 after 30 years as a tool and dye maker.He was an avid conservationist.He also worked for Contact Fabricators of Indiana, was a member of the UAW 663 and the Daleville Christian Church.Survivors include his wife whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in June: Sandra (Fisher) of Anderson, 3 children: James W. Day (Cheryl) of Bethel, Ohio, Tim Day of Muncie, and Penny Saylor (Jeff) of Anderson, 2 grandchildren: Jamie Saylor of Anderson and Stephanie Saylor of Muncie, 1 great grandchild: Noah Lee Higgs of Muncie, several nieces and nephews and cousins, sister-in-law: Lois Day of Eustis, FL and Brother and sister-in-law: Connie and Jim Smith of Anderson, and his dog: Meme.Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 16 at 3:00 PM at Saunders Cemetery east of Daleville with Rev.
