Anderson...James Roy ""Bimbo"" Cornwell, 62, resident of Anderson, fought valiantly against his illness and peacefully went home to be with Lord at his home surrounded by his family.He was born in Westover, MA, September 6, 1952, the son of William Cornwell and Angeline Teixeira Cornwell.He graduated from Indianapolis Washington High School and worked as a plasterer for Malernee Plastering in Anderson.He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam.He was past commander of Daleville American Legion Post 446 and a member at Middletown Post 216.Survivors are his wife: Kataina L. Cornwell of Anderson, 3 children: Jessica Shryock (Matthew) of Anderson, Christy Slate (Joshua) of Edgewood, and Brandi Cornwell of Anderson, 4 brothers: Alfred Oliveira, David DePangher, and Dink and Fred Cornwell, 3 sisters: Mary Carson-Moore, Debra Sanders, and Barbara Sayford, 9 grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: JoAnn Cornwell-Davis, 2 brothers: Leslie DePangher and Joseph Oliveira and 1 granddaughter: Jordyn McKenzie Hagerman.A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
