Middletown...James Gerald Bowers, 87, Middletown, passed away Wednesday morning at Middletown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.he was born in Henry County, June 5, 1923 the son of Russel and Neva Harry Bowers.He was a 1942 graduate of Middletown High School and retired from Delco Remy in Anderson.He was a member of the Farm bureau, Delco Remy Travel Club, and attended the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church.He had also attended the Honey Creek United Methodist Church and was a member of the UAW 662.He had farmed for many years.Survivors include his wife: Treva (snodgrass) of Middletown, 2 children: Pamela (Denny) Craig of New Castle and Janis (Robert) Eavey of Lafayette, 3 grandchildren: Jason (Michele) Eavey of Lafayette, Joseph Eavey of Frankfort and Heather (Kevin) Logan of New Haven, 3 great grandchildren: Samantha and Tyler Logan of New Haven and Aidan Eavey of Frankfort, 1 sister: Annabelle Wilson of New Castle, a special nephew: Steve Swim of Springport, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastors Steve Arnett of the Mt. Zian Wesleyan Church and Marty Ballard of the Yorktown Church of the Nazarene officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery.Freinds may call at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the time of the services.Memorials may be made to the Charity of the donors choiceOnline Guestbook at:
