Middletown...James Harold Bevel, 66, resident of Middletown, passed away at Golden Living Nursing Center in Muncie after a brief illness.He was born in Anderson, September 23, 1949, the son of Richard Day and Bonnie Downham. He had worked as a steelworker at Ingersole-Rand and was a US Army Veteran.He has lived in Middletown for 17 years, worked in Scouting serving as Scoutmaster of Troop 279, was a member of the Order of the Arrow and was a White Stag Leader.He attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene.He is survived by his wife: Denise (Allen) of Middletown, father: Richard Day of Alexandria, children: James Bevel (Jamie), Christopher Bevel and Brian Bevel of Anderson, Jennifer Bevel of Indianapolis, Emily Allen of Middletown and Aaron Allen of Middletown, 4 grandchildren: Brian and Bella Bevel, Cheyenne Rogers and Sabyn DeMara, 3 brothers: Danny Bevel (Gabby) of Dallas, Ralph Day of Federal Way, WA and Michael Day of Pampa, TX.He was preceded in death by his mother.A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Middletown Church of the Nazarene with Dr. Philip C.
