Middletown....Jack W. Lewis, 93, resident of Middletown passed away Saturday evening at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown.He was born in Indianapolis, May 22, 1919, the son of Harlan and Ella Shelton Lewis.He was a 1937 graduate of Middletown High School and worked for many years at Chrysler Corporation, Sears and Roebuck, and owned an operated his own Plumbing and Heating company.He was a lifelong resident of the Mechanicsburg area, member of the Mechanicsburg United Methodist Church was a Disabled US Army Veteran serving in WW 2 with the rank of Sargeant.He served in Central Europe, The Rhineland, and Belgium and served in the Battle of the Buldge.He recieved a Purple Heart with clusters and three battle stars.Survivors include his wife: Rosemary (Cupp) of Middletown, children: Linda (Mike) Walker of Middletown, Deborah (David) Lively of Middletown and Mark S. (Earline) Lewis of Middletown, 2 sisters: Marjoprie (Dan) Harsh of Bluffton and Doris (Fred) Offutt of Indianapolis, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Gerald C. Lewis.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
