Middletown...Ivan Dale Manis, 92, longtime resident of Middletown, passed away Monday morning at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.He was born in Muncie, March 27, 1921, the son of Virgil and Mae Good Manis.He was a 1939 graduate of Anderson High School and retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson as a Supervisor in 1969.He was a US Navy Veteran of WW 2.he lived in Middletown since 1948 and was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, Tri County Golf Club and Valley View Golf Club.He had served on the Dietrich Park Board and was active in the Middletown Little League.Survivors include his wife: Mildred Jean ""Bibs"" Huntzinger Manis, 3 children: Joyce Ann Hanson (Larry W.) of Middletown, Joe Dee Manis (Jill) of New Castle, and Jerry Lee Manis (Beverly) of Middletown, 2 sisters: Rozella Foist of Pendleton and Ehtel King of Anderson, 7 grandchildren: Stacey Hanson of Middletown, Jay Manis of Anderson, Jodi Hamm (David) of Middletown, Julie Hholt (William) of Carmel, Janis Walker (Bill) of Sulphur Springs, Angie Beck (Chris) of Middletown and Dale Manis (Cheryl) of Decatur, 15 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Marty Ballard officiating.Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery.Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the services.Memorials may be made to the Shenandoah Little League.Online Guestbook at:
