Ina Ruth Bickham

Manchester, TN...Ina Ruth (Croy) Bickham, 94, resident of Nashville and former resident of Middletown, passed away Sunday morning, January 16, 2011 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.She was born in McGuffey, OH, February 19. 1916, the daughter of Wellington and Hazel Lewis Croy.She was a member of the Sixth Street Christian Church of Middletown, Easter Star of Middletown, Henry County Homemakers Club and a sorority.She and her husband Don, operated Bickhams 5 to $1 Store in Middletown for 15 years and continued for an additional 15 years after Mr. Bickham's death.She was Past President of the Middletown Chamber of Commerce and active in the Christian Womans Felloship.She enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, knitting and attending Walking Horse Shows.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband : Donald Lee Bickham, 1 son: Robert Eugene Bickham, 1 brother: Kenneth Croy, 2 sisters: Helen Holtman and Juanita Furr.She is survived by one daughter: Peggy Lee (Bickham) Mervine of Manchester, TN, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
