Middletown...Howard Reddington, Jr. 86, resident of Middletown, passed away February 22, 2008 at his residence.He was born June 19, 1921 in Henry County, the son of Howard F. and Gertrude (Good) Reddington.Howard was a 1939 graduate of Middletown High School and a graduate of General Motors Institute.He was a US Army veteran serving in WW 2 in Germany in the Arden Forrest. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star.He retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson in 1982 after serving 42 years as a process engineer.He was member of the Middletown Lions Club, Middletown Masonic Lodge, and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis.Howard served two terms on the Board of Education with the Northwestern School Corporation (Shenandoah).He had been an elder for over 35 years with he Sixth Street Christian Church and was an avid Shenandoah sports fan and loved the Cincinnati Reds.He was a compassionate and gentle father and husband.Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Kathryn (Hannon) of Middletown, sons: John (Nicki) Reddington of Carmel and Thom (Denise) Reddington of Middletown, four grandchildren: Ashlee of Pendleton, Meghan of Middletown, Seth of Bloomington, and Peter of Carmel, 1 sister: Joanna (Jim) Alexander of Anderson, 1 niece: Jan Webb of Fortville, two great nephews: Alex and Adam Alexander of Indianapolis and 1 great niece: Molly Alexander of Muncie.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services were held on Monday at the Sixth Street Christian Church in Middletown with Rev.
