Sulphur Springs...Helen Catherine (Ball) Hovermale, 88, resident of Sulphur Springs, passed away Tuesday morning at her residence.She was born in Delaware County, April 15, 1925, the daughter of Ora and Heelen Harlow Ball.She was a 1942 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School and retired from Union State Bank in 1990 after 34 years of service.She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Christian Church and the Rekamemoh Homemaker's Club.She was very active in the Shenandoah Band Boosters at one time.She loved to bake and work with her flowers, play cards, and spending time and cooking with family.Survivors include her husband of 64 years: Ralph Dale (Kiah) Hovermale of Sulphur Springs, daughters: Judy Dorrell (Jeff) of Rushville and Sue Ann Hovermale of Sulphur Springs, 2 grandchildren: Amber and Zachery Dorrel and 1 great grandchild: Ayden, 1 sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a son: Dale Lee, her parents, and brothers: Hubert and Lloyd Ball. Celebration services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday at Sulphur Springs Christian Church with Rev. C. J. Buskirk officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, east of Middletown.Friends may call at the church on Friday after 1:00 PM.Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Springs Christian Church.Online Guestbook at:
