Helen Lavonne Harlan

Helen Lavonne Harlan, 91, of Yorktown passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2025, at Summit Health and Living. She was born on July 23, 1933, in Watseka, IL to the late Raymond and Verona (Smith) Howe.

The farm is where Helen loved to be, raising chicken, working out on the farm and canning. Helen enjoyed attending auctions and making stained glass.

Helen is survived by her children, Dan Orbik, Mike Orbik and Linda (Greg) Graham; several grand, great grand and great-great grandchildren; brother, Francis Howe; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, George Harlan; siblings, David Howe, Patty Jimenez and Mary-Lou Bailey.

Keeping to Helen's wishes there will be no public services. A burial will take place at Saunders Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville.
