Middletown....Gloria Jean (Purdue) Mitchell, 75, resident of Middletown, passed away September 24, 2020 at St. Vincent's Regional Hospital in Anderson.
She was born in Muncie April 13, 1945 the daughter of Floyd and Lillian Hiatt Purdue.
She ws a 1963 graduate of Middletown High School and worked for Harvest Market for many years. She attended the Middletown Church of the Nazarene and was preceded in death by her husband Vernon (Bud), her parents, a daughter, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors are her children; Sherry High of Middletown, Lisa Cavanaugh of Gaston and James Mitchell (Katrina) of Anderson, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A special celebration of life will be held on Saturday from 2-7 at the residence, 445 North 14th St. Middletown.
