Sulphur Springs...Glendale ""Pete"" Harless, 86, resident of Sulphur Springs, passed away Wednesday evening at The Waters in New Castle after an extended illness.He was born in Anderson, July 28, 1920, the son of Hugh E. and Ruth Chapman Harless.He attended Sulphur Springs High School and was a US Army veteran of WW 2.He retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1983 after 40 years of service.He was a 50 year member of Sulphur Springs Masonic Lodge #348, Murate Shrine of Indianapolis and the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis, and the VFW #1282.He loved to bowl and fish.Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Doris Jean (Kinnett) of Sulphur Springs, 1 son: Randy (Debbie) Harless of Pendleton, 1 grandchild: Rachel Harless of Bloomington, 1 sister: Pearle Gill of Muncie, sister-in-law: Lucille Harless of New Castle, 3 nieces: Diana Saxon of Anderson, Nancy Dawes of New Castle, and Bobbie Hess of New Castle, 1 nephew: Darrin Gill of Muncie.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Bob Harless and 1 sister: Luva Harris.Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with burial at Miller Cemetery.Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-8 PM.Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinsons association.Online Guestbook at:
