Middletown...Glen Edward Sherman, 81, resident of Middletown and life long REd Sox fan, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown.He was born in Worcester, MA, July 23, 1930, the son of George and Mona Jenkins Sherman.He was a 1950 graduate of South High School and worked for 27 years at Honeywell, retiring in 1991.He was a US Air Force veteran achieving the rank of Staff Sargent.He moved to the Middletown Community in 2005 and attended the Sulphur Springs Christian Church. In Massachusetts, he was a member of the Hudson First Federated Church where he had been a Sunday School teacher, Sunday School Superintendent and Deacon Emeritus.Survivors include his wife of 60 years: Jane Marie (Daviau) Sherman of Middletown, 3 sons: Jeffrey (Jingzi) of Middletown, IN, Randy (Tina) of West Palm Beach, FL, and Roy (Jelena) of Ft. Worth, TX, 1 daughter: Jenny (Dale) Lewis of Spruce Creek, PA, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 step brothers: Stephen and David Sherman of Massachusetts and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 am at Sulphur Spring Christian Church with Rev. C. J. Buskirk officiating.Friends may call at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown on Friday from 4-7 PM.Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Springs Christian Church.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
