Gilbert D. Bunner

Springport....Gilbert D. Bunner, 86, of Springport, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at Living Petals Healthcare.He was born February 3, 1931 the son of Robert and Flossie Reger Bunner. He was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School (1948) and served in the US Army. He married his high school sweetheart, Clarice Crandall who passed away in 1982. His parents farmed in Henry County and continued that tradition with his own family.Even when Gilbert's body was no longer up to the rigors of farming, he groomed his farm with pride.He is survived by two daughters: Cristy (John) Hamilton of Muncie and Gerri (Randy) Shewmaker of Daleville, 7 grandchildren: Corinne (Ken) Havenstrite; Joe (Kristin Hoffman) Hamilton, Libby Hamilton, Claire (Josh) MacIntyre; Suzanne (Andy) Shanks; Courtney (Kyle) Draper; Catie (Jonathan) Sinkhorn, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Connie; one sister, Margaret, and 2 brothers, R.
