Middletown....Gerald Paul Reynolds, 73,resident of Middletown, passed away Friday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis surrounded by family after battling heart disease. Jerry heard the call from the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and answered that call with a song in his heart.He was born in Elwood, July 23, 1941, the son of Louis and Ann Parker Reynolds.He was a 1959 graduate of Alexandria High School and retired from Delco Remy/General Motors after 32 years of service.He was a veteran of the US Army.He was an associate pastor/ Elder of Greater Light Church and was active in his church and loved by everyone. He was a talented musician and enjoyed going to area nursing homes where residents loved hearing him play his guitar. He loved the beach and traveling. He was a member of the UAW 662. He moved to Middletown in 1995.He was a kind man who was always willing to help anyone. He loved to tell jokes and will be greatly missed by everyone who was blessed to know him.He is survived by his wife: Cindy (Camp) of Middletown, children: Shelley Johnson of Marion, Scott Reynolds of Marion, Paul Reynolds (Maria) of Indianapolis, and Kim Bartrom (Greg) of Middletown, son in law: Rob Ellis, sister: Rita Carter (John) of Anderson, 1 brother: Jeff Reynolds (Cathy) of Alexandria, several nieces and nephews, grandchildren: Taylor and Marley Bartrom, Mackenzie, Ashlyn, Kamryn, Lucas Ellis, Heather Galvin, Lucy Vasquez, William and Sarah Fulton, Robert Scott Reynolds, Jessica Aust, Cassidy Reynolds, Jason Aust, Shelley Johnson, Joshua Reynolds, James Robert Johnson, and Jamie Purvis.He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother: Gene Reynolds and a daughter: Lisa Ellis.A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Ballard & Sons, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 PM.Memorials may be made to Greater Light Church on his behalf.Online Guestbook is available at:
