Gerald "Jerry" Davis

Gerald (Jerry) Davis. Born August 5, 1941 passed away peacefully at home with his caregiver and daughter-in-law, Trema DanniElle Davis by his side on Friday, January 24, 2025. 

Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky to William E. Davis and Goldie Johnson Davis. He married the love of his life, Lena Faye Garner in 1962. They were inseparable and spent 53 beautiful years of life together. They had two children, Lori Ann Hensley and Gerald Davis, Jr. 

Jerry was a skilled carpenter all of his life and not only being proficient in his work, he loved doing it. His other interests included listening to bluegrass, watching nascar, fishing, and spending time with his friends and family. Jerry retired from Delco Remy after 30 long years of hard-working service. He was a dedicated employee. 

Jerry leaves behind so many with fond memories, his sibling, Geraldine Stephens; his daughter, Lori Ann Hensley; his son, Jerry Davis, Jr. (wife Trema Davis). He also leaves behind ten grandchildren, Sarah, Jessica, Joel, Gerald James, Kyla, Cody, Taylor, Madison, Mason and Dakota; many nieces and nephews with fond memories; 13 great-grandchildren. He had many friends and among a few were Matthew, Joe, Joy and Jack, Jim, Sandy and so many more. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lena; his parents, William Ether and Goldie Davis; his, brothers William (Junior), James McWindle, Larry; his sisters, Peggy, Juanita, and Estelle; nephew, Jamie; a niece, Rosemarie.

He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family and leaves behind many great stories and memories to remember him by. 

There will be no service, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Middletown.
