Middletown...George Norman Sanders, 64, resident of Middletown (Honey Creek), passed away Saturday morning at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson.He was born in Anderson, April 14, 1942.He was a graduate of Middletown High School in 1961 and retired from Delphi Corporation in 1997.He worked a short time at Warner Gear in Muncie.He loved his family very much and loved planting flowers and trees.He is survived by his wife of 43 years: Margaret(Russell) of Middletown, 2 sons: Jerry Sanders(Dawn) of Winchester, VA, and Thomas Sanders of Muncie, four grandsons: Stephen and Jesse Sanders of Shirley, and Jerry Sanders, Jr. and Jacob of Virginia, his mother: Jean Sanders of Middletown,three sisters: Nancy Sanders of Middletown, Melinda Painter of Irvine, KY, Melanie (Scott) Douglass of Muncie and 1 brother: Joe David (Debbie) Sanders of Honey Creek. Also an Uncle: Robert (Vera) Sanders of Middletown and Aunt: Linda Jean Sanders of New Port Richey, FL, many cousins, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a sister: Lisa Jane Sanders in 1964 his father: Joe Sanders Jr. in 1992 and a daughter in law: Heather in 2002.Private services will be held at the family home with Rev. Gordon Barrett officiating.
