Anderson...George Pugsley, Jr, 88, resident of Anderson, passed away at Millers Merry Manor in Chesterfield after an extended illness.He was born in Madison County, October 14, 1919, the son of George and Maybelle Haugh Pugsley.He was a 1938 graduate of Anderson High School and retired from Delco Remy in 1986 after 42 years of service as a tool and die maker.He was an Army veteran of WW 2 serving in Italy.He was a member of the UAW 662 and Tabor Baptist Church.He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth in 1979, his parents, 1 sister: Melvina Jane Chambers and 2 brothers: William R. and Melvin Pugsley.Survivors include 2 sons: George E. (Anna) Pugsley and Everett (Sharon) Pugsley of Anderson, 2 daughters: Beverly Mowrey of Daleville and Ruthanna Addington of Muncie, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Pugsley of Daleville, 1 brother: Lawrence Pugsley of Anderson, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville, IN with Rev. Jim Sandburg officiating.Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park.Friends may call on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5-8 PM and one hour before the services on Wednesday.Mmeorial contributions may be made to the Tabor Baptist Church general fund.Online Guestbook at:
