George Finch, Jr

Daleville...George Finch, Jr., 74, resident of Daleville, passed away August 9, 2005 at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Oxford, IN, November 29, 1930, the son of George Morton and Ruby Laird Finch.He retired in 1977 from Warner Gear in Muncie and was a 1949 graduate of Daleville High School.He was a US Marine Corps veteran and was a past commander of Daleville American Legion Post 446.He was a member of Local 297 at Warner Gear.He was preceded in death by his parents.Survivors include 6 daughters: Wanda Levi (George) of Dayton, OH, Cinda Friend (Paul) of Albany, IN, Ruby Finch of Istachatta, FL., Melinda Bussa (Glenn) of Terre Haute, IN, Patsy Stoffel (Donald) of Huntington, IN, and Linda Ball (William) of Hephzibah, GA, 2 sons: George E. Finch and fiance; Debby Davis of Daleville and Paul ""Scott"" Finch (Elaine) of Monroe, GA, 1 sister: Caroline Wolfe (Ralph) of Oxford, IN, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, great aunt: Margaret Bernal of Oxford, IN, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Daleville, with Pastor Karen Ottjes officiating.Burial will follow in Saunders Cemetery in Daleville.Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
