Gene P. Wood

ANDERSON... GENE Paul (WOODY) Wood, Age 66, went home to be with his Lord on July 2, 2003. He was the son of Kenneth and Ada Marie (Hughes) Wood, and was born on June 1, 1937. He received his GED from Chrysler High School in New Castle and Married Linda (Humphries) on April 12, 1958. He was employed for 32 years at Magnaquench and Delco Remy (Plant 17). He retired in 1993 as a Quality Control Inspector. He was member of the Middletown First Baptist Church and the Middletown Lions Club. He also Coach Little League Baseball for 16 years. Survivors include his wife Linda Wood of Anderson, two daughters Mrs. Cynthia (Husband Rev. Stephen) Wolfe of Omaha, Ill, and Mrs. Penny (Husband Brian) Cobb of Anderson. Three sons, Kenneth Wood (Wife Christi) of Anderson, James Wood of anderson and Donald Wood of Anderson. Two Cousins; Gene Wallace Wood of Fortville, and Beverly Hefner of Anderson. 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, several Neices and nephews. Funeral Services will be at Middletown First Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. Monday. Rev. David Waters will officiate. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery East of Middletown.
