Middletown...Gene Clinton Riggs, 81, resident of Middletown, passed away March 15, 2016 at St. Vincent Regional Hospital , Anderson.He was born in Henry County, March 29, 1934, the son of Roscoe and Minnie Peckinpaugh Riggs.He was a 1952 graduate of Middletown High School and retired from Guide Lamp, Division of General Motors after 30 years of service.He was an accomplished plumber and pipe fitter for many years and lived his entire life in the Middletown area.Survivors are his wife of 62 years: Barbara Joan (Emswiller) Riggs of Middletown, 2 daughters: Teresa Riggs and Rhonda Sinclair of Middletown, 2 grandsons: Bryan Murphy and Jakob Sinclair of Middletown, 1 brother: Homer (Allene) Riggs of Speedway, several nieces and nephews and his dog: Roxie.He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother: Larry Riggs.A Celebration of his life will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Marty Ballard officiating.
