Daleville....Gene Paul Pierce, 88, resident of Daleville, passed away December 3, 2018 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born in Middletown, June 24, 1930, the son of Carl and Leta Miller Pierce. He joins his wife Mary E. Hodson Pierce, his parents, a brother and sister who all preceded him
He was a utility man at Delco Remy for over 40 years and a graduate of Middletown High School. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Okinawa. He was a member of the NRA, the American Legion and the UAW #662.
Survivors are two children: Tia Davis (John) of Naples, FL and Tracy Pierce of Daleville, 5 grandchildren: Julie, Alan, Mary Ann Davis and Desiree and Dustin Pierce., 1 great grandchild: Kennedi Pierce and 1 brother: William Pierce.
A graveside service will be held on December 15, 2018 at Hawk Cemetery at 10:00 am.
