Middletown...Gary ""Cookie"" Michael Ward, 64, resident of Middletown, passed away Monday evening at Middletown Nursing Center in Middletown.He was born in New Castle, March 5, 1951 the son of Clarence Lee and Mackie Wiggins Ward.He was a 1969 graduate of Shenandoah High School and had worked as a bartender and cook for the Scorecard Restaurant and Bar in Middletown for many years.He was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the NRA.Survivors include 2 sisters: Sharon Stanley (Charles) of Biloxi, MS and Gail Glaze (Steve) of Middletown, nieces and nephews,He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother: Pat.At his request, there was a graveside celebration at Miller Cemetery in Middletown on Friday at 1:00 PM with no public visitation.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.comThe Ballard family is honored to celebrate the life of ""Cookie"" with family and friends.
