Fred Bedwell

Anderson...Fred Bedwell, 85, resident of Bloomington and former resident of Anderson, passed away Wednesday morning at St. Johns Medical Center in Anderson.He was born in Dugger, IN May 15, 1922, the son of John and Vonda Sparks Bedwell.He had worker for many years in sales at Singer Sewing Machine and R. W. Stewart Landscape.He was veteran of the US Army serving in WW 2.He lived in Anderson for 33 years and was a member of the NRA, American Legion and the former Hillcrest Church of Christ.He loved to hunt, fish, and boat and was an excellent salesman.He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 1/2 sisters, 1 1/2 brother, and his wife: June.Survivors include 1 son: Fred S. Bedwell (Janice) of Anderson, 2 daughters: Carol Sue Dillon (David) of Anderson and Tonya Richey (Jim) of Middletown, four grandchildren: Tara Hall, Sean Dillon (Litsey) and Amy Chismar (Ben) of Anderson and Sarah Agee (Kyle) of Millville, 5 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, nephew: Joey Ray Shelton of Phoenix, AZ, 2 step children: Vicki Davis of Anderson and Debbie Wills of Pennville, 1 1/2 brother: Raymond Shelton of Rockville.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 3:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Dr.Randy Wood of Linberg Road Church of Christ officiating.Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery in Middletown.Friends may call on Saturday at the funeral home from 1-3 PM.Online guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
