Middletown...Francis Richard Sargent, 63, resident of Millers Merry Manor in middletown, died Thursday at the nursing home unexpectedly.He was born in Delaware County, August 20, 1940, the son of Earl D. and Minnie VanMatre Sargent.He retired from Umittla Florida Schools custodian Department in 1994 after 20 years.He also worked for Golden Gem Groves in Florida and was a member of the American Legion Post 400 of Umittla.Survivors includes his brothers and sisters: Virginia Harnish of Muncie, Paul Gene Bales of Fort Wayne, Sally Daniels of Lecanto, Florida, William Sargent of Umittla Florida, and Mike Sargent of Albany, IN.There will be not public viewing or services.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
