Florence Ramsey,85 a life long resident of Middletown, died early Friday morning at St. John's Medical in Anderson, after an extended illness.She was born on June 5, 1919 in Monticello, Kentucky and was the daughter of Emery and Susie Abbott.She was a housewife, a member of the First Baptist Church of Middletown, the Riley Hospital Cheer Guild, the Jolly Loafers Club. She was a Sunday School Teacher and a excellent pie and cake maker.She is preceded in death by her husband James Howard Ramsey, two brothers, Delbert and Lowell Abbott, as well as three sisters; Lee Briteham, Mattie Sapp, and Ruth Upchurch.She is survived by a son, Jim (wife Paula)Ramsey, of Middletown; a brother Alfred Abbott of Monticello, Kentucky; a grandson Scott (wife Amy) Ramsey of Hendersonville, Tennessee; an a granddaughter, Lynn (husband Scott) Uptgraft of Fishers, Indiana. Five great grandchildren Payton, Carly and Jessica Ramsey of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Elle and Erik Uptgraft of Fishers, Indiana.Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 P.M. at the Ballard & Sons Funeral Home in Middletown, with Rev David Waters officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 til 3.
