New Castle...Flora Harvey, 92, resident of New Castle, passed away Friday at Stonebrook Rehabilitation Center in New Castle.She had lived in Sulphur Springs since 1939 before moving to New Castle recently.She was born in New Castle, Indiana, June 9, 1916, the daughter of Horace L. and Goldie May Osborn.She was a 1934 graduate of New Castle High School and a Leadership Training School through Indiana Central College.She married Gerald F. Harvey on December 25, 1935.She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Christian Church since 1953, teaching in the Builders Class, serving as Secretary of the church for 25 years and served as church clerk.She was a member of the Rekamemoh extension Club, Raintree Chapter of the ABWA, member of the Lions Bowling league of New Castle Rose Bowl, and served 27 years as 4-H leader in Fall Creek and Jefferson Townships.She was Extension Homemaker of the year in 1991, 4-H leader of the year in 1993 and was Woman of the Year for ABWA in 2004.She was employed for the Henry County Extension for 24 years and worked at Becker Brothers Market on A. avenue in New Castle.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and infant daughter: Saundra in 1937 and a grandson: Kent Flynn.Survivors include her children: Joyce (Dewey Jr.) Flynn of Sulphur Springs, Beverlee Craft of Muncie, and Roger A. (Carolyn) Harvey of Mountain Grove, MO, 6 grandchildren: Cindy Cupp of Palestine, IL, Kit Flynn of Muncie, Kevin Flynn of Palestine, IL, Kyle Flynn of Indianapolis, Michael Craft of Shirley, Chad Harvey of Portage, IN, 3 step grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Sulphur Springs Christian Church with Rev.
