F. Ruth Hatfield

Yorktown...F. Ruth (Gibson) Hatfield, 92, Yorktown, died Monday morning at The Waters in Yorktown.She was born in Muncie, IN, November 15, 1910, the daughter of Jacob W. and Bertha Mae Polland. She had been a homemaker all her life.She was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph in 1998 and a daughter: Phyllis Jean Flowers.She was a member of the Daleville United Methodist Church where she had played the organ for many years. She was a member of the WSCS of the church and the Jolley Twelve Club of Daleville.Survivors include: 3 daughters; Mary Louise Lille of Yorktown, JoEllen Wilson of Yorktown and Diana Kay (Jim) Stevenson of Yorktown, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning at 10:00 am at the Daleville United Methodist Church with Pastor Karen Ottjes officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie.Friends may call at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut St., Daleville on Wednesday from 5-8 PM and one hour before the services at the church on Thursday.Memorial contributions may be made to the Daleville United Methodist Church Building Fund.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
