Daleville: Eva Bronnenberg, 85, passed away peacefully at home on January 1, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Eva was born in Edmonson County, Kentucky, and graduated from Brownsville High School in Kentucky. Eva was an employee of General Motors for 25 years, a member of the United Auto Workers and a lifelong member of the Democratic Party.Eva was devoted to her family, and was especially close to her six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In her final years Eva was lovingly cared for by Gene, her husband of sixty-three years. She loved music, laughing, teasing and was an avid sports fan. She was well known for her strong opinions. She was hardworking and loyal. She will be remembered for her strength and her sheer will to live, which carried her through three bouts of cancer. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, Eula and Alva Mills, and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sister, Nella Anderson of Brownsville, KY; her devoted husband Gene Bronnenberg, her daughter Glenda Probst (James) of West Virginia, and her son Brad Bronnenberg (Amy) of Kodak, Tennessee; six grandchildren (Crystal Myers of Tennessee, Rachel Kinder and Emma Austin of West Virginia, Justin Bronnenberg of Ohio, Joshua Bronnenberg of Tennessee and Randi Alexander of North Carolina); and seven great-grandchildren (Ireland, Elliot, Eva, Samantha, Gabby, Dalton, and Jacob).The family expresses heartfelt appreciation for the excellent health care by her many providers especially Brandon Aiman P.A, Dr Mares, Dr. Eddy and St. Vincent's Hospice Services. Visitation will be Monday, January 6, from 12 - 3 at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, Daleville, IN. Services will follow the visitation.
