Yorktown...Eunice Etta (Brookshire) Ewing, 82, resident of the Waters Convalescent Center in Yorktown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday afternoon at the nursing facility.She was born in Shirley, IN, June 10, 1922, the daughter of John William and Loma Louise Alspaugh Brookshire.She had been a homemaker all of her life.She and her husband had lived in Daleville for 22 years.She was a member of the Knightstown American Legion auxiliary of Knightstown and the Carthage United Methodist Church.Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Merrill Guy ""Pete"" Ewing of Daleville, 3 children: Julie Ann (Dale) Delay of Centerville, John Willima (Cynthia) Ewing of Indianapolis and Joni Louise (Duane) Newman of Greenville, OH, 4 grandchildren: Dale Alan Delay II of Centerville, Michael Christopher Ewing of Indianapolis, Justin Gene Bronnenberg of Greenville, OH and Joshua Guy Bronnenberg of Greenville, OH, 1 sister: Mary Elizabeth (William) Frost of Greenfield, IN and sisters-in-laws: Lucile Ewing of Indianapolis and Jewell Maxine Ging of Chelsea, OK, 9 nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday morning at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown, with Rev. Steve Abernathy officiating.Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 4-8 and one hour before the services on Saturday.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.Online Guestbook is available at: www.ballardandsons.com
