Middletown...Ernie Lee Badger, 60, resident of Middletown, passed away Wednesday evening at his residence.He was born in Anderson, June 22, 1951, the son of Ray and Ola Wise Badger.He was a 1969 graduate of Anderson Highland High School and retired after 26 years in the US Army with the rank of Sgt First Class.He moved to Middletown from Anderson seven years ago and was a very good painter and carver. He loved slot car racing and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan.Survivors include 4 sons: Christopher Badger (Rhonda)of Chesterfield, Joshua Badger (Candy) of Middletown, Darrin Badger (Ashley) of Chesterfield, and Jeffery Badger (Shawn) of New Bern, NC, grand children: Dara, Spencer, Rachel, Ivan, Adrien, Corbin, Dalton, Cameron, Michael, and Thomas, 2 sisters: Bonnie (Allen) Klein of Burdett, KS and Carol (Jerry) Neeley of Chesterfield, 6 nephews and his dog: Buddy.He was preceded in death by his parents and dog: Bailey.Funeral services wsill be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Tracy Moistner officiating.Burial will follow at Bronnenburg Cemetery in Chesterfield.Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-8 PM.Memoriuals may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.Online Guestbook at: www.ballardandsons.com
