Middletown...Ella Loretta Harney Hilligoss, 73, resident of Middletown, died Friday at her home after an extended illness.She was born in Anderson, March 16, 1931, the daughter of Orville and Lena Harney.She moved to Middletown in 1958 and had been manager at the Middletown American Legion at one time.Survivors include her husband: James Hilligoss of Middletown, 3 sons: James M. (Sharon) Hilligoss, Jr. of Anderson, Larry D. (Patsy) Hilligoss of Pendleton, and Steven M. (Tina) Hilligoss of Markleville, 3 daughters: Cindy (Charles) Hamilton of Springport, Connie Boozier of Anderson and Lori (Bill) Abner of Anderson, Special grandson: Robert Arnold of Middletown, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, 3 sisters: Della Lemon of Anderson, Betty Levell of Daleville, and Thelma (Vance) Petit of Lakeland, FL.She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers: Virgil, Russell, Kenneth and Harold and one sister: Gertrude Brown.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev.
