Elizabeth Grace Walker

Fox River Grove, IL...Elizabeth Grace Schlegel Walker, 90, former resident of Daleville, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Illinois.She was born on a farm north of Daleville on August 3, 1920, the daughter of LeRoy and Grace Harmon Schlegel.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: William A. Walker, three brothers: Robert, Donald and Ralph Schlegel and one sister: Roberta Jones.While raising her five children, Elizabeth also managed the family farm for many years. She was an excellent cook, known by family and friends for her recipes, all of which were written in the beautiful handwriting for which she was famous.She was a member of Mt Pleasant Cemetery Aid, Community Club of Daleville and the Daleville United Methodist Church.Survivors include five children: Samuel L. Walker (Rita) of Daleville, Theodore W. Walker (Kathie) of Okeana, Ohio, Roland E. Walker (Judy St. John) of Alexandria, Thomas Walker (Andi) of Canton, GA, and Lora Jane Berger (Gary) of Fox River Grove IL, 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 8212 South Walnut, Street, Daleville, IN.Burial will follow in Mt.
