Dubois, IN...Edward Lee Walters, 62, Resident of Dubois, Indiana and former Middletown resident, died early Wednesday morning in Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, after a brief illness.He was born in Anderson, September 9, 1942, the son of Carl and Hazel Maupin Walters.He retired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1995 and was a 1961 graduate of Daleville High School.He was a driver for the Middletown EMS for several years and was a member of the Middletown Conservation Club and worked with the Middletown Jaycess.Survivors include his wife of 42 years: Fran of Dubois, 3 daughters: Deb Pitel of Anderson, Cindy Scott (Bruce) of Hagerstown, Jennyne Atkinson (Jim) of Middletown, 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers: J. R. Walters (Karen) of Muncie and Robert Walters of Indiana, 1 sister: Doris Hall of Cuzco, Indiana, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 PM at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Marty Ballard officiating.
