Middletown...Edward Howard Day, 83, longtime resident of Middletown, died Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.He was born, March 18, 1920 in Salt Lick, Kentucky, the son of Chester and Jessie Sorrell Day. Heretired from Delco Remy in Anderson in 1982 after 41 years of service. He was a WW 2 Navy Veteran.He had lived in Middletown over 60 years and was an active member of the Middletown Lions Club. He was a member of the UAW Local 662, the Middletown United Methodist Church, the Middletown Conservation Club, and had been an active supporter of Shenandoah and Middletown High School Basketball. He and his late wife June had been season ticket holders for many decades.Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Oneda June, a son-in-law; Steve Broadbent, great granddaughter; Stephanie Hayes, 3 sisters: Eillen Bowne, Annea May Grabill, and Lillian Rose Troxell, 3 brothers: Les, Roy, and Raymond Day.Survivors include: 1 daughter: Beverly Broadbent of Middletown, 2 grandchildren: Teresa (Jeff) Hayes of Middletown and Sheryl (Doug) Pullins of Middletown, 7 great-grandchildren: Chelsie, Carie, Codie Haynes and Travis, Chadd, and Brittany Tyler and Austin Pullins, 1 sister: Francis (Charles) Kelly of Middletown, several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Ballard and Sons funeral Home, 118 South 5th, Middletown with Rev. Jeff Langdon and Rev.
