Edith Ilene Rowe

Edith Ilene Rowe, 93, lifelong resident of Daleville, passed away on Tuesday November 28, 2023, after a brief illness. She was born on March 28, 1930, in Daleville to the late Virgil and Katy (Baker) Bricker.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 446. Ilene retired from Ball State University in 1999. After retiring, she worked for Daleville Elementary and the Daleville Community Library. She was very active in her home and her community.
Ilene is survived by her children, LeRoy (Pam) Rowe of Frisco, TX, Peggy Baker of Anderson and Pam Colvill of Anderson; grandchildren, Jama (Jeff) Patterson of Moncks Corner, SC, Jenny (Jeff) Summers of Frankton, Matt (Kellie) Baker of Anderson, Tamara (Jeffrey) Davis of Muncie and Trisha (Billy) Bangs of Celina, TX; great grandchildren, Zach Patterson, Bryce (Shelby) Patterson, Madison Baker, Mason Baker, Wyatt Summers, Bella Summers, Will Bangs and Landry Bangs; great great grandchildren, Samuel Patterson and Bennett Patterson; sister, Norma Hall of Barstow, FL; special niece, Carol Murphy.
In addition to her parents, Ilene is preceded in death by her Husband, Zollie Earl “Buck” Rowe in 1968; sons-in-law, Bob Colvill and Phil Baker, along with seven siblings.
Services will be on Friday December 1, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Ballard and Sons Funeral Home in Daleville with Pastor Glenn Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Saunders Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Daleville Community Library 13601 W County Road 550 S, Daleville, IN 47334.
